Blackpowder Flask and Measurer
What
separates this black powder flask and measurer from your ordinary black
powder flask and measure setup, is
that you get to settle the powder inside the blackpowder flask to the same density on every loading. To
accomplish this, you hold the flask vertical, and insert the blackpowder measurer
into the bottom
of the black powder flask, open the valve and shake both your hands up and down three times and release the
value. Then open the valve and shake the black powder flask and measurer three more times. Release the valve, withdraw your
blackpowder measure
and you have a charge that is the same as the one before and the same as the next one. Using this
method, you can throw 100 grain charges of Triple Seven to +/- .3 grains. This is just one more
variable removed from the accuracy puzzle.
These black powder flask and measurers were marketed by Knight and Remington but they had a tendancy to break. The reason
they broke was they use a small set screw to restrict the movement of the valve. With use, the set
screw comes loose and instead of restricting the throw of the valve, it simply falls apart. No one
has the proper sized Allen wrench and the measure is finished for the day. Or in a worst case scenario,
the measurer falls apart in the field, you loose the part and all the powder.
Shooters need accessories that won't break easily. My manufacturer got with a brass maker and tweaked
the valve to make it dummy proof. No set screw running in a shallow groove. They use an oversized
roll pin in an actual slot and a heavy duty spring to cut the powder caught in the slide and to keep
the valve closed in the shooting box. Made in the U.S. creating U.S. jobs. Not Chinese made to marketing
specs to sell at a price point. Designed for a lifetime of use and built to back it up. We are so sure
of the design and the workmanship, together with the manufacturer we are including a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
on the valve assembly.
THE 1300 grain blackpowder brass flask with 120 grain powder measurer are priced at only
$49.95.

Thanks so much for the time you spent with me on the phone answering all
my questions. The other day I finally got the time to shoot and try out
the new VariFlame Primer Adapters. All I can say is wow
it is the first time I shot like this with a muzzle loader at 100 yards.
My
hunting buddies can't believe it as well. These bullets are the real deal also
the powder flask really works great and makes it simple to make your loads. I
will be calling in another order real soon. Thanks again and good shooting.
I am enclosing a picture of a group I shot. Click image to enlarge it.
